Yes, all estimates are free. Give us a call at (225) 266-3716 or email [email protected]. For customers located in South Louisiana, we can come out to look at your site and prepare an actual bid.
Yes, give us a sketch/photograph or an address of an existing work that you like and we can begin from there. We can also provide design ideas or work with your architect. In fact, it is always a good thing to involve us early in the design process. We will have more experience working with steel than most architects and can help ensure a proper, cost effective design.
In most cases, we prepare a computer drawing of the job for approval and ask for a deposit before ordering materials.
Installation time depends on the size and scope of the job. Typically, most jobs can be completed in three to five weeks after a deposit is received. You will be given an installation estimate with your bid. In cases where a builder/contractor is involved, we will coordinate installation dates with your builder well in advance.
All ornamental iron is made from mild steel and cast iron. The term “wrought iron” refers to a type of low carbon steel that is no longer produced. We send all of our projects out to be powder coated or painted at your discretion and we can provide samples of each to help in the selection process.
We provide matching touch up paint. This can be applied to any “dings and scratches” that your ironwork may incur over the years.
All steel rusts over time. We ensure that a professionally applied finish is intact on delivery and installation and we warranty our work for a year. Dark colors tend to last much longer than light; black is the preferred color for ironwork.
